My Personal Opinion on Multiple Sclerosis

This represents my personal opinion on MS:

My son Matthew called me because he was concerned about a colleague’s recent diagnosis of multiple sclerosis.  The symptoms are pain and numbness on one side of the body.   A diagnosis of MS has to do with actual lesions in the central nervous system.  MS=scattered zones of demyelinated (a fatty insolation layer on nerves) nerves.  A neural exam, and cerebal spinal fluid is used for diagnosis.  Often if no lesions are present, the neurologist will put the diagnosis under the umbrella of MS, meaning the person has similar symptoms to MS, but no lesions present.

Avoidance of animal fat is recommended by Naturopathic Doctors.  They also recommend cod liver oil, 5 grams, & flaxseed oil, 2 tsp 2 x’s a day helps with the myelination.  It is also essential to avoid foods that your allergic to.  Ask for professional help if you are not sure if you have food allergies.  Naturopathic Doctors can help with healing the gastrointestinal tract if you have food allergies.

It has been known that misalignment of the vertebrae, especially at the occipital base and atlas can cause similar symptoms with pain and numbness is on one side of the body.  The misalignment may have been caused from a fall as a child, an accident, any kind of neck or head trauma.  As our body shifts and changes with age, odd symptoms can surface years later.  Some people under the umbrella of MS with this misalignment problem have been healed of their symptoms.  A highly skilled craniosacral therapist, or a chiropractor can help with the adjustment of the spine.  Over time this may relieve the symptoms.   The best thing to do is learn as much as you can about your particular diagnosis.  Then talk to as many different kinds of health professionals as possible.  Accumulate knowledge.  Always make sure you have the best physician, and the best therapist.  Insurance pays for incompetence as well as competence.  Do your homework it will pay off.  Blessings, KGJ

My Personal Opinion on Autism

This is my personal opinion on autism, based on treatment experience and research.  I have written this for a friend who asked about treating autism.

Much healing can happen with autism if you are pointed in the right direction.  An occupational therapist can teach parents therapy techniques, coping skills, as well as make recommendations for equipment.  Children who are autistic respond exceedingly well to craniosacral therapy as this treatment calms the nervous system.   Your occupational therapist will recommend a weighted blanket.   She will perform Wilbarger’s protocol for deep touch pressure, also known as “brushing”.  She will teach you the technique.  Wilbarber's brushing technique must be done correctly, as an error in technique can cause an excited response, instead of a calming response.  Diet and nutrition education are paramount for healing.   May I suggest reading “Gut & Psychology Syndrome, by Natasha Campbell-McBride, Ph.D. for a doctor/mom's understanding on the origins of autism and how to heal.  In addition, I would like to suggest researching the effects of sugar on a child’s brain.  You will learn importance of eliminating this substance from your childs' diet.  Blessings to all the Moms and Dads who have a child with autism.  KGJ
